It is noteworthy to mention that most over-the-road trucking companies we place our graduates with have what is usually referred to as a “TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM”. These programs are a hiring incentive and pay a monthly amount, usually between $100 and $150 directly to the driver as a Sign-On Bonus intended to be applied to the drivers student loan. We encourage our graduate to make an additional payment themselves so the loan is paid off quicker and save them interest. Once the loan is paid off, the trucking company will continue to pay the driver the monthly amount until the driver recoups the cost of attending IITR. |
